SD Association (SDA) has announced a new SD7.x specification, which introduced with SD Express featuring a PCIe NVMe protocol improves the transfer rate up to 985MB/s. The new SD Ultra Capacity (SDUC) cards would support cards up to 128TB.

The downstream port can connect to SATA, PCIe NVMe and SD Express storage devices, such as a hard drive, solid-state drive, CFast, CF Express, SD Express and legacy SD card.
JMS581 supports multi-LUN and a built-in Offline File Copy function that can further enhance user experience by backup files between these interfaces, no more PC/Laptop is required. It can be designed as a portable field backup storage which is especially suitable for professional photographer, content creator, media worker and drone pilot.
